Our Story
In the Periyar Vaigai command area, farmers often face uncertainty in water release from dams. Many prepare nurseries for transplanting, but when water is delayed, the seedlings become overgrown or are lost, leading to poor crop establishment and unnecessary expenses.
"We believed there had to be a better way."
Direct seeding offers a practical solution by saving water, reducing labour, and allowing farmers to sow when conditions are right. However, existing seeders often require a higher seed rate and are usually designed for a single crop, limiting their usefulness throughout the year.
That is why we developed the PASUMAI Multicrop Seeder. It gives farmers the flexibility to adjust both row to row and plant to plant spacing, while enabling the same seeder to be used for paddy, pulses, millets, oilseeds, and other crops.
Our vision is simple: one seeder for multiple crops, lower input costs, and greater confidence for every farmer.
Water Saving
Enables direct seeding, reducing water use compared to conventional transplanting.
Adjustable Spacing
Customise row to row and plant to plant spacing for better crop establishment.
Multicrop Compatible
Suitable for paddy, pulses, millets, oilseeds, and other crops with a single machine.
Lower Seed Requirement
Optimised seed placement helps reduce seed wastage and input costs.
Direct seeding with PASUMAI reduces water use by up to 50% and lowers labour costs while enabling multi-crop precision sowing with a single machine.
